Senegal-born director Alain Gomis is one of many winners in this year Berlin International Film Festival. Mr. Gomis’ film Felicite, about a singer in a bar in Kinshasa on a search for help to pay her son’s hospital bills. It is with the help of a man that enjoys her performance that she gets the help she needs.
