On Sunday, March 15, 2015 The Legendary Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. will continue to bring theatregoers solid new works from women playwrights with its dramatic reading series, NEC’S SUNDAY NIGHT READING SERIES FUNDRAISER on The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre stage at THE PERSHING SQUARE SIGNATURE CENTER, 480 West 42nd Street, New York City, NY. This year’s theme is the YEAR OF THE WOMAN. Four Plays, Four African American Women Playwrights and Four Sundays sums up the event.

SUNDAY, APRIL 12 7:30PM Ntozake Shange’s A Photograph: Lovers in Motion developed & directed by Ifa Bayeza

Talk Back Sessions and Reception follows immediately after each dramatic reading. “It was important to dedicate this Reading Series Fundraiser to voices of women playwrights with distinctly different perspectives, experiences and ideas because complexity and variance gives theatre its beauty, “stated Karen Brown, the Executive Director of the Negro Ensemble Company.The NEC is grateful for this collaboration with Signature Theatre.
