Xavier Hufkens is excited to announce the second gallery exhibition of Cassi Namoda (b. 1988, Maputo, Mozambique). Known for her evocative storytelling through painting, Namoda’s new body of work spans two locations—Europe and America—yet draws heavily on her frequent visits to her homeland of Mozambique.
In this exhibition, Namoda weaves personal experience with broader historical and contemporary realities, creating pieces that are both intimate and universally resonant. Her exploration of identity, memory, and place continues to evolve, shaped by her deep connection to her birthplace.
The exhibition will remain on view until November 23rd.
