COVID19 Resources for Artists

As of today, many people, American citizens in particular, are experiencing a historic pandemic. I have never experienced this type of fear and most of my countrymen haven’t either. However, we must go on and continue the work that moves the masses. To create, we need resources, but with canceled events and opportunities across the globe, we need assistance in making magic happen. To help, I compiling an ongoing list to where you can find free wifi, healthcare and more.

Online Healthcare:

Baptist Health is now offering Health Care On Demand FOR FREE, use code CARE19. Online caregivers are prepared to follow the appropriate CDC protocols and can answer questions regarding COVID-19, evaluate a patient’s risk and provide support to relieve symptoms. Click here for more information.

Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood provides women’s sexual, reproductive during this pandemic. Click here for the protocol.

Emergency Healthcare Grants: The Rauschenberg Emergency Grant provides funds for medical emergencies. Get info here.

Wifi for low income households:

Comcast is offering free internet access to low-income families for up to two months, effective March 16, 2020. Click here to apply today.

Free Spectrum broadband and WiFi access for 60 days in home with K-12 and/or college students that don’t have an existing Spectrum service level up to 100 Mbps. Installation fees will be waived for new student households and the company said those interested should call 1-844-488-8395. Plus, open WiFi hotspots for public use.

How to handle canceled events: If you produced events that were cancelled due to Covid-19, contact your funders for direction on grant/funding requirements and waivers.
