Brown Skin and Glasses perform live show in July

Conundrum Stages is proud to present a live program based on a podcast called Brown Skin & Glasses featuring Miami-based comedians Lamonte Stewart and Rhett Thompson at the Abyss Theatre in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Brown Skin & Glasses podcast started in November 2013 where comics Stewart and Thompson discuss current events and topics while sharing their contrasting points of view. In addition to the monthly podcast , this live show will spotlight the comedic material of the duo plus special guests Natalie Tyler and CJ Staples . Stewart and Thompson will give their witty and strong opinions in their highly anticipated talk back session with their audience.

LAMONTE STEWART is a Connecticut native that has made Miami his home since September 2010. For four years, Mr. Stewart has made his impression felt on the South Florida comedy scene. In 2012, he made his Conundrum Stages debut performing for Funny Business compilation at Stage 84 in Davie. He also hosted part of the Year 6 Open Mic Tour at Gigi’s Music Café in 2014. Alongside being one-half of the podcast, Brown Skin & Glasses, Lamonte has his own podcast called LS Rules. While performing at other venues, he hosts a monthly comedy show at the venue, Kill Your Idol on Miami Beach.
RHETT THOMPSON is an Akron, Ohio transplant that worked the New York comedy circuit from 1999, before moving to Miami in 2005. Mrs. Thompson has been an avid Conundrum Stages contributor since 2011 in capacities such as performing and hosting. Alongside Brown Skin & Glasses, she has her own podcast, aptly titled Blackanese Chick. One can find Mrs. Thompson performing at various venues across South Florida plus she hosts a Bi-Weekly Open Mic night in South Miami. Her website is www.blackanesechick.com.

This performance of Brown Skin & Glasses Live will be held on Sunday, July 24th, starting at 7pm at the Abyss Theatre,  2304 N. Dixie Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are $5 online and $10 at door.
