Cuban Poet Nancy Morejon is one of Cuba’s most translated poets. She has published at least 12 volumes of poetry she currently directs the Caribbean Studies Center at Casa de las Américas, Havana. . Her origins were humble, but her thirst for literature was insatiable. It was her love of reading that has allowed her become a respected poet, essayist and playwright . Her work explores many themes from love to slavery in Cuba. here is Nancy Morejon at the the first International festival of Poetry of Resistance in Toronto, Canada.
