Art at its core has been a way to portray emotions without words. The most amazing exhibits of some artists’ careers have come out in 2020. Our “Best Of” list does not sugarcoat the fact that overall, 2020 is arguably the worst year that we’ve ever lived. From protests all over the world to worldwide isolation, the year has been an emotional roller coaster. From visual to music production, 2020 has made a substantial impact on the way we express ourselves with limited resources. Sugarcane’s writers have named the favorite exhibits they’ve seen during this hellscape of a year. While there a large amount of virtual and some in person shows, our team choose these six as our favorites for the year.
