A multi-disciplinary artist who has primarily worked in the context of collaboration to cultivate art spaces that foster community, Najja Moon is proud to present her first printed collection of works.
The work hones in on the power of introspection while committing to a solo visual practice. Najja states:
“My fragilities have gone, thus far, practically unacknowledged. Unbeknownst to me, prior to this, having the space to collaborate has allowed me to move in affirming spaces that have minimized my need to self explore. This work is the antithesis to that.”
The work, as described by the director of the Perez Art Museum Miami, Franklin Sirmans, is “precision in mark-making techniques” and “lines drawn poetically”.
