Festival International Saint Georges Celebrates It’s 3rd Annual Festival

The Association International Festival Saint Georges presents it’s annual celebration April 28 through May 1st On the beautiful Island of Guadeloupe. The International Festival, whose mission is to celebrate the music of Saint-Georges, and more generally his life, promote performing artists of color and perform classical music written by composers of African descents in fusion with the standard repertoire will feature top-notch internationally renowned musicians from over 13 countries including soprano Magali Léger, violinist Koh Gabriel Kameda , historians, writers and musicologists, such as Gabriel Banat, Dominique-René de Lerma, Walter E. Smith, Chapman Roberts, Michelle Garnier Panafieu, Pierre Bardin and more.

Saint Georges having been the God of Weapons, the FESTIVAL will offer a conference accompanied with a show dedicated to the artistic fencing, directed by Daniel Marciano and with the cooperation of young fencers of the Circles of Fencing of Guadeloupe and France.

This year, festival will take place in Basse-Terre, the capital of Guadeloupe and birth place of Saint Georges, at the main venues of the city and is organized by the Association Festival International Saint-Georges, spearheaded by Maestro Marlon Daniel, Artistic Director, Jean-Claude Halley, Président of the Association and Catherine Pizon, Executive Director.
