Lauren Velez, known for her work on HBO’s Dexter and the 90’s Televison show New York Undercover raised the $100,00 plus dollars she needed to make the bio pic of the iconic La Laupe ( learn about her here) . The script is penned by Dexter Executive Producer and writer James Manos Jr. The project was funded in 2013, however the Facebook page for the project projects a 2013 release ( no month was given) Here is the trailer for the film:
