In the United States, The National Black Museum is slated to open in 2015 in the U.S. Capitol. The museum is apart on the the Smithsonian Mueum and has been in the works as early as 1915. It was approved bu the U.S. Congress in 2003, and is now given the task of finding a focus, of deciding how it will tell the African American story to not only the nation, but the world. Here is great New York Times piece on the facility. What do you think?
